An 18-year-old woman, Jhusmin Pagkaliwagan, has been charged with uttering threats after allegedly posting a message on Snapchat about initiating a school shooting in Oshawa. Durham Regional Police were tipped off by the RCMP, who intercepted the concerning Snapchat post, which expressed a desire to carry out a shooting at a local school.

Police traced the post back to Pagkaliwagan, a student at Durham College, and subsequently arrested her without incident on the college campus. Following her arrest, officers executed a search warrant at her residence in Whitby, where they discovered 18 firearms, five airsoft guns, and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition. According to authorities, the firearms were lawfully acquired and stored.

Pagkaliwagan now faces charges of uttering threats, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

    Is she on a visa? What is her resident status? If she was even born here, she should never be permitted to attend any school again. If she is on a visa, she needs to be deported after serving a lengthy sentence.

    Those who have experienced a Columbine and other type of terror attacks, never fully heal from the trauma.

    If this young woman had that many firearms, she was seriously planning on committing a horrednous act.

    she is a girl, she will get a slap on the wrist. In a time that pushes equity, one thing remains the same. Girls get way less time than men for the same crimes.
