A 31-year-old man has been charged following an alleged sexual assault involving a three-year-old boy at a Brampton hospital on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Peel Regional Police (PRP) reported that the incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. in the area of Bramalea Road and Bovaird Drive.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Brandon Ramnath of Brampton, approached the young boy who was seated in a stroller inside the hospital and allegedly touched him inappropriately. Shortly after, Ramnath is said to have moved to another area of the hospital, where he allegedly committed an indecent act in front of several adult witnesses.
Following these incidents, Ramnath was arrested and charged with sexual assault, committing an indecent act in a public place, and sexual interference. These charges have not yet been proven in court.
