The Toronto Police Service has announced an arrest in connection with a recent homicide investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a second suspect.
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 1:49 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the Glendower Circuit and Birchmount Road area. An altercation had taken place, resulting in a shooting involving two suspects. One suspect fled the scene on foot, while the other escaped in a white SUV. The victim was later found at a hospital and pronounced deceased.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Kevin Lindo, 45, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. He appeared in court the same day at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, located at 2201 Finch Avenue West, in room 103.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Leon Foster, 29, of Toronto, who is also wanted for First Degree Murder. Foster is described as 6’2″ with a medium build, black hair, and a beard. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police have released an image of Foster and urge the public not to approach him but to call 9-1-1 immediately if he is seen.
