Toronto Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with an alleged human trafficking investigation.

Police responded to a call regarding an unknown trouble in the King Street and Bathurst Street area on May 9.

According to police reports, the man in question had purportedly recruited a woman in her twenties to provide sexual services for his escort agency.

Allegations suggest that the accused orchestrated the booking and advertising of the female’s sexual services, exploiting her for his own material gain while resorting to violence.

Authorities apprehended 27-year-old Matthew Jeremy Ham on the same day. Ham now faces a slew of charges, including trafficking in persons, assault, and advertising another person’s sexual services, among other related offenses.

Police have released the man’s photo believing there may be more victims.
