Police in Whitby are appealing to the public for assistance in locating two suspects following a stabbing incident that left three victims injured. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Tap and Tankard bar on Brock Street, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
According to police reports, the stabbing took place shortly after midnight, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered three individuals with stab wounds. Two of the victims were subsequently transported to trauma centers in the Toronto area, while the third victim is recovering from minor injuries.
Despite conducting an overnight search, the suspects remain at large. Police have provided descriptions of the two individuals and are urging the public to provide any relevant information to aid in their identification and apprehension.
The first suspect is described as an Asian man in his early 20s, standing approximately five-and-a-half feet tall with a medium build. At the time of the stabbing, he was wearing a Chicago Bears baseball hat, a black sweater, ripped blue jeans, and dark shoes.
The second suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, measuring around five-foot-eight with a slim build. He has a full beard and an earring in his left ear, and notably, he is missing the lower portion of his left arm. During the incident, he was wearing a black baseball hat, a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Durham police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information regarding the whereabouts of these suspects to come forward. Tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 reward, and their assistance could play a vital role in aiding the investigation and ensuring the safety of the community.
