In a developing story, Peel Regional Police are currently investigating reports of a shooting involving a “young female adult” in Brampton.
The incident unfolded near Central Park Drive and Grenoble Boulevard, close to the intersection of Williams Parkway and Bramalea Road, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
According to a spokesperson from the police, the victim was discovered in a nearby plaza. Paramedics promptly arrived at the scene and transported the young female adult to a hospital, where she is currently in stable condition. Unfortunately, her exact age remains unknown at this time.
Initially referred to as a youth by Peel police, the victim’s age has since been clarified as that of a young adult. Details regarding potential suspects have not yet been released, leaving the community anxiously awaiting further updates on the investigation.
