The incident took place in the Victoria Street and Dundas Street East area on Friday, May 12, 2023, at around 1:49 p.m. After receiving a distress call, the police swiftly responded to the scene.

According to reports:

  • A physical altercation occurred between two men.
  • One of the individuals sustained critical injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
  • The suspect managed to flee the area on foot.

The suspect has been identified as Danyal Khan, aged 29, with no fixed address. He is currently wanted for second-degree murder. It is believed that Khan may have been present in the area for some time prior to the altercation and may have interacted with others during that period.
