Toronto police are appealing to the public for any information that could help them locate a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing in downtown Toronto. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Richard Sasaki, died following an altercation near the intersection of Victoria Street and Dundas Street East on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene on foot and may have been in the area for some time prior to the incident, interacting with others. Police have released a description of the suspect as having a light brown complexion, long black hair and black facial hair, estimated to be in his late 20s and about 5’10”, wearing dark clothing at the time of the alleged stabbing.
The authorities are asking anyone who may have seen or interacted with the suspect to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation. With the help of the public, the police hope to bring justice to the victim and his family and ensure the safety of the community.
