Toronto police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of a woman in Etobicoke on May 10. The suspect, Kadeem Robinson, 34, has been charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to make a court appearance soon.
The incident happened at a condominium building near Manitoba Street and Legion Road North in the area of Grand Avenue and The Queensway. Police were called to the building at around 4:30 a.m. after residents reported hearing a violent interaction followed by the sound of a loud bang.
Upon arrival, police found a woman who had been shot. Unfortunately, paramedics were unable to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, a man was seen fleeing the area after the shooting.
Condo security investigated the incident and found the woman who had been shot. They immediately contacted the police, who arrived at the scene shortly after. Investigators made an arrest on the same day as the shooting, highlighting the efficiency of Toronto police in responding to such incidents.
